WHILE BEING unsigned, and having to self-fund and self-release music is by no means unusual in 2017, it is certainly no impediment to progress, as the rise of Jerry Williams shows.
The 21-year-old pop singer songwriter first came to attention in 2015 with the track 'Cold Beer' which received an enthusiastic reception online, clocking up 25,000 views/listens. In all, she has released three EPs, of which Let’s Just Forget It, won best produced release of 2017 at the inaugural Unsigned Music Award and features the Radio 1 BBC Introducing track of the week. ‘I’m Not In Love With You’. Jerry was also selected as BBC Introducing National Artist Of The Week and has support from the likes of Huw Stephens and USA tastemaker KCRW’s Jason Kramer.
The Portsmouth native has played BBC Introducing shows in London and Manchester, as well as the Tramlines, V, and Victorious festivals. Her debut album will be released in early 2018.
