The closing date for entries to the Galway Chamber Business Awards 2017 in association with Shannon Airport is tomorrow Friday 20 October. The process is easy, simply fill in the application form, available online at www.galwaychamber.com Speaking this week, President of Galway Chamber, Maurice O’Gorman said that this year, the theme for the awards is ‘Éacht thar na Bearta’ or ‘Outstanding Achievement’. The aim is to recognize the outstanding achievements of Chamber members.
“Across all sectors we see Galway’s enterprises and individuals being recognized globally for their achievements. It is now our turn to recognize and applaud those that have achieved so much.
“Entering the awards could not be easier, simply access the form on the Chamber website and get it back to us by this Friday,” he said.
The President went on to say that the Awards are a huge part of the calendar in Galway and he looks forward to a great event when the presentation takes place at a Gala Ball in the Radisson Blu hotel on Friday November 10. He thanked Shannon Airport, partners and main sponsors of the Awards, without whom the Awards could not take place.
He also thanked the Category Sponsors: WestBIC/Galway Technology Centre, AIB, Vhi Healthcare, Bank of Ireland, Galway City Council, Magnet Networks, PwC, and the media for their support with the Awards.
He urged all members of Galway Chamber to challenge for the Awards and wished each entrant every success. All members of Galway Chamber are eligible to enter and Category 1 ‘Best Emerging Enterprise’ is also open to non-members of Galway Chamber. Entry forms must be received by Galway Chamber by Friday October 20.
