Diwali, the festival of lights, and one of the most popular festivals of the Hindu faith, marking the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, knowledge over ignorance, hope over despair, will be celebrated in Galway this month.
The Indian Cultural and Sports Community Galway will celebrate Diwali or Festival of Lights on Saturday October 28 from 5.30pm to 10pm in Leisureland, Salthill. The guest of honour is the Minister for Community Development, Natural Resources and Digital Development, and Fine Gael Galway West TD, Sean Kyne, and all Galway is welcome to attend the event and celebrate with the community.
