CarnEvil...the terror has just been extended

Scare attraction to run until Saturday

CARNEVIL, THAT dark maze into which you are plunged with nothing to guide you but your adrenaline and your fear of encountering those crazed, distrubed being who lurk in wait for you, scratching at the walls...

Well, guess what, it seems Galway loves being scared out of its wits so the dastardly good people at CarnEvil have extended the run of Fear 2 so that it will contines to run today [November 1], Thursday 2, Friday 3, and Saturday 4.

Oh it seemed like a great idea at the time. Bring over the finest performers from the Caribbean to establish a Cuban paradise in the heart of Galway. Latin music, sunshine, vibes, and joy.

Little did the owners suspect that among the clowns and performers making the treacherous crossing, lurked the most fiendish and diabolical practiconers of the black arts, masters of voodoo and witchcraft. Soon, this brave dream of a Caribbean utopia descended into utter madness; staff, performers, and customers alike were all driven insane or were lost in the black heart of this now monstrous building. It was boarded up. Never to reopen.

CarnEvil runs above McGettigan's, Eyre Square from 6pm to 11pm from November 1 to 4. The Galway Advertiser has said of CarnEvil: "You will shout, scream, and run, but also bust out in laughter at the sheer thrill of being spooked...Go on, treat yourself to a good scare...I dare you..."

Admission is €10. For more information and booking see www.carnevil.ie
