Galway Rural Development (GRD ) in collaboration with Youth Work Ireland Tuam, Solas Family Resource Centre Headford, Gort and Loughrea Family Resource Centres will be hosting a Lone Parent Seminar for East Galway in the Family Centre, Dublin Road Tuam Co. Galway. The seminar will run on Monday October 16 from 10am to 3pm.
As part of the seminar, clinical psychologist, broadcaster and author David Coleman will facilitate a One Hour lecture with time allocated for questions and answers on Effective Communication with Children and Teenagers.
Just before the provided lunch by Nicholson Catering Company, Veronica Black from Treoir organisation will deliver a one hour workshop on the Children and Family Relationship Act 2015. The afternoon will conclude with Holistic Wellness Coach and Author Sharon Fitzmaurice delivering a mindfulness workshop.
GRD will run three buses to cater for this event. The buses will run from the Solas Family Resource Centre Headford, the Gort Family Resource Centre and from the Loughrea Family Resource Centre. All buses will run to the Family Centre Tuam for the Lone Parent Seminar.
The buses will collect people from the centres in Headford, Loughrea and Gort at 9.15am on the morning of the event Monday October 16 in order for the participants to be in the Family Centre, Tuam for 10am.
The buses will also do a return run to all venues from 3.30pm.
