Volunteer with Baboró

Galway is without a doubt a festival city but in October it’s the kids’ turn. If you haven’t already experienced one of the best festival weeks in Galway, then mark October 16 – 22 in your diary and sign up to volunteer with Baboró International Arts Festival for Children.

Now in its 21st year, Baboró takes place in Galway for one week every October when children, families and schools can experience seven days of theatre, dance, music, literature, exhibitions, talks and workshops. The festival presents shows from all around the world for young and old to enjoy.

As a volunteer you will provide essential support to the Baboró team of stewards and venue managers. You’ll be based in different venues throughout the city, helping to create a positive Baboró experience for audiences. Not only do volunteers make the festival possible, they also enhance the overall festival experience. All applicants are interviewed, undergo volunteer training, and are briefed on our Child Protection Policy before joining the festival team.

Childhood is such a critical stage of development, a time which is crucial in shaping the people we become. The creative arts provide a fantastic opportunity for children, and adults, to explore the world around them.

Volunteering with Baboró offers you a chance be a part of this. It’s also a wonderful way to meet a fantastic bunch of people with many returning to volunteer year after year. Don’t miss out and sign up now. For any queries please email [email protected] or go to www.baboro.ie to download the form and sign up today.

Baboró runs from Monday October 16 – 22. For more about the programme see baboro.ie
