JIMMY CARR, the comedian and presenter of 8 Out Of 10 Cats and 8 Out Of 10 Cats does Countdown, has announced a series of Irish dates for his The Best Of, Ultimate Gold, Greatest Hits Irish Tour.
Carr, whose parents hail from Limerick, will play Leisureland, Sathill, on Saturday June 30, as part of a tour that also takes in Athlone (Radisson Blu Hotel, March 23 ), Cork, Wexford, Kilkenny, Carrick-on-Shannon, Sligo, Letterkenny, and Killarney.
Carr, described as "a comedy hero for our times" by The Guardian and "a world-class comedian” by The Independent is one of the most prolific joke-tellers of recent times with a lightning-sharp delivery. His Galway show will see him deliver a selection of his very best jokes along with new material.
On the stand-up scene for a decade and a half, he has performed nine sell-out tours, played nearly 2,000 shows to more than two million people across four continents, won the British Comedy Award for ‘Best Live Stand-Up Tour’, and been nominated for the Perrier Award.
