GPA Solutions has been delivering QQI business awards in Galway since 2001. This spring sees the start of its successful payroll skills award and advanced payroll skills award. These courses are ideal for those wishing to gain an introduction to payroll or those wishing to upskill with their existing knowledge.
The QQI Level 5 payroll skills course will commence on October 24. Learners will acquire a thorough knowledge of basic PAYE computations to include the cumulative, week one, and emergency tax basis. Learners will learn and understand PRSI and USC computations, how to deal with starters and leavers, file Revenue forms, and year end procedures in both a manual and computerised context.
The QQI Level 6 advanced payroll skills award will commence on October 19 and is ideal for learners who wish to further develop their existing payroll skills by focusing on areas such as tax implications when calculating pensions, benefit in kinds, illness and maternity benefit, and cycle to work scheme in both a manual and computerised context.
All courses are delivered through lectures, case studies to resemble a real business scenario, group discussion, and assignments. Online support is also available to learners.
