Learn Ayurveda in Galway and discover a healthy way of life

There will be a six week evening course on the ‘Introduction to Ayurveda’, classes will commence on October 4 and will be held on Wednesdays from 7pm to 9pm.

Ayurveda has a wonderful and practical approach to health as it considers each of us according to our unique individual constitution. On this course, participants will discover their unique Ayurvedic constitution and tendencies and also how to recognise those of friends and family.

Participants will learn about the importance of proper eating habits and appropriate dietary, daily, and seasonal routines. Understand their digestive systems, how to maintain balance, how to prevent toxic build-up, cleanse, and rejuvenate the body. Classes will explore some healthy recipes, and participants will become familiar with simple home remedies and Ayurvedic herbs.

The course will incorporate some simple changes in your daily routines so that you can experience the benefits. There will be an optional mini (three day ) detox, some tastings of food and herbal remedies, and an optional trip to an Indian store where participants will familiarise themselves with different herbs, spices, and foods.

Ayurveda teaches us how to take care of our health and wellbeing by getting to know our unique physical and psychological tendencies. By guiding us in making small changes to our dietary and lifestyle habits, Ayurveda can help bring us back into balance to both maintain health and prevent disease. Having a history of more than 5,000 years it stands as the most comprehensive natural health system in the world.
