Galway marketing agency Proactive has been awarded a three-year contract to promote the Galway Races summer festival.
This week saw the launch of the campaign to promote the flagship summer festival. The campaign launch coincides with the start of the Cheltenham Racing Festival.
The Galway Racing Summer Festival is the fourth largest horse racing festival in the world and is extremely important for Galway city and county, contributing millions to the local economy each year and attracting more than 200,000 visitors over the course of the seven-day festival.
This year, Proactive Design and Marketing was awarded a three-year contract to promote the Galway Races and to capture and depict the essence of the festival. The campaign titled 'A Celebration That Gets Your Heart Racing' highlights the unique sense of excitement, vibrancy, and energy, which is experienced at the Galway Races.
To promote the popular summer festival, the Galway Races 2009 advertising campaign will include TV advertising, national radio and press advertising and regional radio and press advertising.
Manager of the Galway Racecourse John Moloney said he is extremely proud of the new advertising campaign and feels that it captures the energy and vibrancy of an unique racing festival.
