Have you ever wanted to dance but do not know where to start? Are you tired of going to weddings or country music events and not being able to dance? Well worry no more because County Galway native Niall Doorhy is back with a four-week jive and waltz course in County Galway, starting in Corrandrum National School on Friday September 15 from 8pm to 9.30pm.
If you want to learn how to jive, Niall Doorhy is the man for you.
Doorhy has many years’ experience in teaching dance and he is renowned for his ability to make dancing look easy. With more than 28,000 followers on his Facebook page and more than a million views on his videos, Niall Doorhy is one of the most sought after dance teachers in Ireland. One of his more notable achievements was being asked to teach jiving at the Dome for this year’s Rose of Tralee festival. Along with a host of other television programmes, Doorhy recently featured on RTE’s Stetsons and Stilettoes.
In 2015 Doorhy became the first person in Ireland to direct and produce a social dance jive tuition DVD, entitled Let's Jive. The DVD has sold in every county in Ireland and also across mainland Europe, UK, USA, and as far away as Australia to Irish country music enthusiasts living abroad.
“Be prepared for a great night of getting to know people, getting exercise, having a laugh, and be left wondering why you never started this sooner," he said.
Course fee is €40, payable on the first night. To book text your name/names, followed by “Corrandrum” to 087 3536502.
