The Mae Trio - two Galway shows

Australian group to play Clifden Arts Festival and Galway city

THE MAE Trio, the Australian contemporary folk group, are coming to Ireland to promote their new album, Take Care Take Cover, and will play two dates in County Galway.

The trio will play the Clifden Arts Festival this Saturday, September 16, and then The Black Gate Culutral Centre, St Francis Street, Galway city, on Sunday 17, performing songs from Take Care Take Cover, recorded in Nashville with producer Erick Jaskowiak (Crooked Still, Tim O’Brien, Darrell Scott, The Waifs ).

The Australian, in a five star review, called it a “simply superb sophomore album". The Scotsman praised their "spine-tingling harmonies", while Songlines said they were "definitely a trio to keep an eye and an ear (or two ) out for". Their debut album, Housewarming, met with similar praise, and earned the Folk Alliance Australia Youth Award and NFSA Folk Recording of the Year.
