In a spring fare sale, Irish Ferries has chopped 50 per cent off the cost of travel on its Ireland - France service for those able to travel during the period February 21 to May 14 next.
Sailing on the new cruise ferry Oscar Wilde, a car and driver can travel for just €99 one way with the bonus of free travel for an additional passenger and free cabin accommodation included in the price.
Bookings, which must be made seven days before sailing and be completed before March 3 next - can be made online at www.irishferries.com or by calling 0818 300 400 or through travel agents.
Business travellers commuting between Ireland and Britain are the focus of a scheme introduced by Irish Ferries to help companies cut travel costs during these difficult times.
Under the scheme, a rebate of 20 per cent will be paid to companies whose staff members make three or more return car trips to Britain with Irish Ferries within a 12 months period. Companies can nominate up to six individuals to travel on their account. To join the frequent traveller scheme, membership of which is free, companies must enrol with Irish Ferries.
