Hotel Meyrick, long recognised as the home of the perfect afternoon tea in Galway city, has introduced a new traditional afternoon tea menu for autumn.
Sink into one of the parlour lounge's relaxing chairs and enjoy Hotel Meyrick’s afternoon tea, served daily from 1pm to 6pm. Savour hand-cut sandwiches with seasonal fillings, smoked salmon and cream cheese on broad bread, and homemade fruit scones with cream and preserves. Delight in the delicious pastry creations made by head pastry chef Peter and his team — fig and pistachio tartlet, raspberry macaroons, meringue disk filled with hazelnut chocolate ganache, lemon napoleon mille feuille, and traditional carrot cake — all accompanied with freshly brewed tea or coffee from only €19 per person or €34 for two.
What better way to spend an afternoon catching up with friends, spoiling your mum, celebrating a recent engagement or baby shower, or sharing some quality time with your other half. Make a day of it and add a glass of prosecco or warm yourself up with a Baileys or Royale coffee
The hotel's resident pianist Alison will soothe away your afternoon each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Don’t miss out, uncover an afternoon of complete enjoyment in the heart of Galway city this autumn. Booking is essential.

On the dates that there are wedding receptions in the hotel, afternoon tea will be served in the Oyster Bar and not in the parlour lounge.
