Fantasy Football: round three preview

In association with St. Anthony's & Claddagh Credit Union

And so the first two rounds of the Premier League season are over. Manchester United are at the top of the pile after two thumping 4-0 victories over West Ham and Swansea with top flight new boys Huddersfield Town hot on their heels.

For those Fantasy managers who have Red Devils in their squads, they will be sitting pretty in the league as four of the top five Fantasy players are from the Old Trafford outfit. But last weekend's results are in the past and round three offers new hope to those managers who have had poor starts to their seasons. So what players should you select to get your team moving back up the ladder in the Galway Advertiser Tribal Leader League in association with St Anthony's and Claddagh Credit Union.

Ahmed El-Sayed Hegazi (West Brom ) v Stoke City

.

The Egyptian international has had a brilliant start to life at the Hawthorns with two clean sheets and a goal scored. Hegazi is joint top of the Fantasy points table with United's Paul Pogba and I expect the defender to add to his tally with a shutout of an impotent Stoke City team who have struggled to create goal chances never mind trouble the scoreboard keepers. At £4.7 million Hegazi is a bargain. Get him in your team.

Sergio Aguero (Man City ) v Bournemouth

.

The Citizens travel to the Vitality Stadium to take on pointless Bournemouth. Pep Guardiola's men scraped a draw against Everton on Monday night after Kyle Walker was sent off just before the interval. I expect a reaction from one of the favourites for the title and Sergio Aguero will be the man to do the damage against the Cherries.

Harry Kane (Spurs ) v Burnley

.

It has not been the most fruitful of starts for England's deadliest striker. Kane has seemingly hit everything but the back of the net in Spurs' first two outings this term. However, I believe his mini drought will end on Sunday at Wembley against Burnley. So strongly is my faith in the big striker I suggest to Fantasy managers to back him as your triple captain.

That's all for this week. Enjoy the football.
