The Galway Study Centre at Mill Street is now taking enrolments for the new term starting in September. Classes take place after school, in the evenings, and on Saturdays.
All the main subjects are offered including English, Irish, French, maths, and all the business and science subjects. Additionally, intensive revision courses are provided during the Christmas and Easter holidays. Shorter day and weekend courses take place at other times throughout the year for the oral examinations, as well as specialised day seminars/workshops on various Leaving Cert topics.
Also, study skills classes start from the end of September teaching students effective study techniques and helping them to develop efficient study routines. These take place on one evening per week over a four to five week period.
A separate Leaving Cert higher level Irish course for mature students is offered on Tuesdays from 6.30pm to 8.30pm for students who need grade H5 or above for entry into a teacher training college.
