After a successful first season of exhibitions, Murrays of Nile Lodge are looking forward to hosting a number of exciting and unique exhibitions in the coming months.
Successful exhibitions by local artists Melanie McDonagh, Catherine Seale and Hilary Morley helped to establish Murrays as a new and exciting exhibition space in the local community.
A full calendar for the remainder of this year will see exhibitions by Ola Jagielska, Lidia deLange, Pat Flannery and a second exhibition on architecture by Melanie McDonagh. This month will see the opening of 'The Fragmentation' by Ola Jagielska.
Ola is a graduate of printmaking at GMIT, Cluain Mhuire. She was born in Poland, but currently lives in Tuam, Co. Galway.
Most of Ola’s works are abstract, exploring the theme of erosion and beauty in disintegration. The prints are based a lot on contrasts in form and colour. Her most used methods are etchings and recently textile printing. She also makes books that include her prints.
'The Fragmentation' opens on Friday August 18th at 6pm and runs until September 6th.
