TRAD ON The Prom, celebrating Irish music, dance, and song, begins the final leg of its 2017 run, starting Sunday, August 13, at Leisureland, Salthill, and continuing until September 28.
The show, which The Irish Times called "two hours of sheer brilliance", features Máirín Fahy (featured soloist with Riverdance and The Chieftains ); Gerard Fahy (composer Lord Of The Dance ); with musicians Chris Kelly, Yvonne Fahy, Padraig Rynne, and Benny Hayes on bodhrán, whistles, uileann pipes, accordions, concertina, bouzuki, guitars, and keyboards.
The Trad On The Prom dancers enjoy 25 World Titles including World Champions Claire Greaney, brothers Fergal and Cathal Keaney (leads with Lord Of The Dance ), brothers Michael and Matthew Gardiner and Colm Conneely; Siobhan Manson (lead Riverdance ), Mary McDonagh, Emer Finnerty and Anne-Marie Keaney. Singers include Eurovision star Marc Roberts, multi-AIMS winner Sean Costello and Chieftains vocalist Yvonne McMahon.
