Collective Apathy @ Oughterard Courthouse

Exhibition to explore how we deal with our waste

REFUSE AND waste are having a devastating effect on the environment, particularly the use of plastics; the overuse of fossil fuels is contributing the global warming - the greatest threat to our continued existence.

These ideas - waste, how we treat it, and dispose, of it - have inspired a new, multimedia exhibition of work by the artists Philppa Maguire, Rachel Maguire and Adrian Treanor. The exhibition, which sees the artists work in ceramics, radiators, tar, plastic, textiles, and video, takes place at The Courthouse, Oughterard, as part of the Oughterard Courthouse Arts Programme.

The exhibition opens tomorrow and runs until August 20. Admission is free. See www.facebook.com/OughterardCourthouseArtsProgramme
