THE POET Kevin Higgins will give a series of poetry workshops for beginners, intermediate, and advanced, at the Galway Arts Centre, starting in September.
Workshops for complete beginners as well as those who have been writing for some time, take place on Tuesdays, from 7pm to 8.30pm (first class September 26 ). The Thursday workshop (2pm to 4pm, first class September 28 ) is an Advanced Poetry Workshop, suitable for those who have participated in poetry workshops before or had poems published in magazines.
Kevin is the author of the poetry collections The Boy With No Face (2006 ), Time Gentlemen, Please (2008 ), Frightening New Furniture (2010 ), The Ghost In The Lobby (2014 ), and Song of Songs 2:0 – New & Selected Poems is published by Salmon (2017 ). He co-organises the Over The Edge reading series.
