ANGELS IN America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes, Tony Kushner’s multi-award winning, two-part play, running in Britain's National Theatre, will be broadcast live to Galway

America in the mid-1980s. In the midst of the AIDS crisis and a conservative Reagan administration, New Yorkers grapple with life and death, love and sex, heaven and hell. It will be broadcast live to The Eye Cinema, Wellpark, with Part I screening this evening, and Part II on Thursday July 27, both at 7pm.

It stars Andrew Garfield (Silence, Hacksaw Ridge ) as Prior Walter, along with Denise Gough (People, Places and Things ), Nathan Lane (The Producers ), James McArdle (Star Wars: The Force Awakens ) and Russell Tovey (The Pass ). It is directed by Olivier and Tony award winning director Marianne Elliott (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and War Horse ).
