Former Shop Street busker to play Pearse Stadium twice next summer

Music mega star Ed Sheeran will play two dates in Galway next year.

Making the announcement via his Instagram page, the Suffolk singer will perform at Pearse Stadium on Saturday May 12 and Sunday 13 as part of his 2018 Europe and UK tour.

Galway will be the third leg of his visit to Ireland which sees the 26-year-old play in Cork, Belfast, and Dublin.

Sheeran, who recently performed at Glastonbury, is no stranger to Galway having brought the city to a standstill earlier this year when he shot his video for the his single Galway Girl in April.

On that occasion Sheeran fans were able to catch glimpses of the musician at O’Connell’s, The Spanish Arch, The Treasure Chest, and O’Connor’s.

Tickets for Sheeran’s Irish Tour go on sale on Saturday, July 8, at 9am from all Ticketmaster outlets nationwide. There is a 24 hour credit card booking service available at (0818 ) 719300.

However, fans have been warned that there will be a strict stance against anyone using secondary ticketing websites for profit.

Any tickets that are resold will not be valid and on all the stadium dates revellers will be required to bring tickets, booking confirmation, and credit card, plus a valid form of ID, or they will be refused entry to the show.
