With two days racing, including a listed race and the SuperValu Roscommon Ladies Day, Roscommon Racecourse is the place to be in July. The action kicks off on Monday, July 10 and continues on Tuesday, July 11, with the first race on Monday at 5.55pm.
“Ladies Day is continuing to grow in popularity at Roscommon. There are great prizes, great racing, and there’s sure to be great craic on the evening,” said Michael Finneran, racecourse manager.
The stakes will be high on the course and are expected to be just as high among the competitors for the title of Best Dressed.
Celebrity judge for Ladies Day on Monday is Aisling O'Loughlin, TV presenter and Exquisite.ie website founder. She will be casting her eye over the contenders for the €1,200 cash prize with the other nine finalists receiving a €100 cash prize each.
While there is expected to be plenty of style and glamour, with a listed race on the card for Monday, punters can look forward to seeing a high-class field for the Lenebane Stakes, which has €45,000 in prize money.
Tuesday’s meeting gets underway at 5.55pm with five hurdle and two bumper races down for decision.
With this being the last race meeting before the Galway Festival, punters may be given a few pointers for the upcoming week-long meeting at Ballybrit.
Patrons are advised to arrive early and to keep an eye on the starting times for both evenings. Updates will be posted on www.roscommonracecourse.ie and www.facebook/roscommonracecourse
