Get out on the water this summer at Galway Bay Sailing Club

The Galway Bay Sailing Club annual Summer Sailing programme kicks off this June.

Courses for children and teens are running every week this summer 9.30 – 4.00 each day.

From beginner courses providing a first taste of sailing, to advanced course for more experienced sailors who are working thought the Irish Sailing Association small boat sailing scheme, there is a sailing course to suit everyone.

Places are limited so early booking is advised

All wet gear will be provided including wet suit and buoyancy aid.

Our expert instructors will be watching and ensuring your children’s safety at all times.

Some of the sailors who have started on these camps, have progressed to both National and International competitions. Recently, last weekend, six GBSC young sailors travelled to Foynes YC for the Optimist Connaughts. The kids did the club proud managing both the windy and tidal conditions admirably.

Located just seven miles from Galway city in the beautiful coastal bay of Renville in Oranmore, the club organises the racing and sailing of dinghies, cruisers and multihulls for its members, as well as training and instruction for non-members.
