A magical stay in Orlando

parks such as Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort, and SeaWorld, fun is literally around every corner in Orlando; I had the pleasure of experiencing Universal Orlando in May for the first time and it will definitely not be my last.

We flew direct with Aer Lingus from Terminal 2 in Dublin. This service is offered three times a week and we were able to undertake all US immigration and customs prior to departure. While at the airport we got to visit 51st and Green; this is an exciting new lounge for passengers. It is located after preclearance and beside the US departure gates. It is a 'world's first' as it is the closest airport lounge to an active runway.

After our nine hour flight, we checked in to the four star Loews Sapphire Falls hotel; this is one of the newest Universal hotels. By staying on-site, we got to experience all that Universal Orlando Resort has to offer, and also were able to get early park admission to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Universal's Volcano Bay one hour before the park opens.

While there we visited other hotels in the area; Universal Cabana Bay beach resort, Loews Royal Pacific resort, Loews Portofino Bay Resort, and the Hard Rock hotel. My family favourite would be the Cabana Bay beach resort, inspired by the classic Florida beach resorts of the 1950s and 60s. Enjoy vibrant, retro-style, rooms, and suites brilliantly designed for family-size fun and maximum value. There was also a great choice of quick and easy favourites from the incredible food court. It also has two massive pools, a winding river, and a bowling alley.

The young child in me could not resist a few rollercoasters. I visited the newest Volcano Bay theme park, the tropical-themed Volcano Bay has been billed as a next-generation water park, largely because of its ride reservation system. It has a signature 200-feet-tall faux volcano into which several slides are incorporated. I also got to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and this is a must if you are a fan. You can dine at the Leaky Cauldron and shop at Weasleys Wizard Wheezes. You can also get the Hogwarts express which will take you to Hogwarts castle. There is something for everybody from Transformers to Shrek to Despicable Minion and some thrilling rollercoaster rides all in Universal studios

Orlando is a super destination for both young and old and has something for everybody from theme parks, upscale malls, outlet villages to amazing hotels.
