The Curly Organ - a summer of EPs

New side project from My Fellow Sponges Donal McConon

THE CURLY Organ, a side project of Donal McConon, a founder member of Galway prog-folk band My Fellow Sponges, will release a slew of EPs throughout the month of July.

The Curly Organ will release one EP per week. Each work takes a DIY approach to the recording process, mostly written, mixed, and performed by Donal in his room by Galway's docklands. Each EP will have a gig launch, the series culminating in a free concert in association with Citóg, downstairs in the Róísín Dubh. There will be historical instruments, hand-drawn visuals, and special guests.

The EP release dates/launch gigs are Cómo usar los cubiertos (July 5, upstairs at Róisín Dubh, admission is €5 ); Buzzkill (July 12, upstairs at Róisín Dubh, €5 ); Untitled (July 19, upstairs at Róisín Dubh, €5 ); Yoga (July 27, The Black Gate Cultural Centre, Francis Street, €5 ); Citóg gig (August 2, downstairs at Róisín Dubh, admission is free ).
