Well known Galway estate agent dies in M6 crash

Well known estate agent Oisin Allman, of Allman Reynolds auctioneers, lost his life in a road accident on the M6 near Athlone at the weekend.

Mr Allman (42 ) died following a collision between Monksland East (J13 ) and Ballinasloe East (J14 ) on Saturday afternoon.

Mr Allman was originally from Frenchpark, Co Roscommon. He was a boarder at Garbally College, and later graduated from DIT in property economics. He was elected an associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and as a RICS Registered Valuer.

He was Big 4 trained, and worked in the commercial and residential divisions of Lisney and Douglas Newman Good, Dublin, before later moving to work in estate agents in Galway city at partner and director level. He also worked in the international property group, Prestige, before setting up his successful business, Allman Reynolds Estate Agents, with his business partner and wife Caroline.

Allman Reynolds estate agents will continue in business under the management of Caroline Allman Reynolds and family, and will continue building business relationships with present clients and the people of Galway.

Oisin was an excellent businessman and friend to all who knew him. He was a very hard working, entrepreneurial, witty, and intelligent man who was completing his final year in an MBA in Michael Smurfit Business School at the time of his untimely death.

He was very much liked among the business community in Galway.

He spent many happy years in Salthill with his loving wife Caroline Allman Reynolds. He was predeceased by his father Dermot and, more recently, his sister Maureen from Moycullen, who died of cancer only three months ago.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his mother, Teresa Allman from Frenchpark, Co Roscommon, his wife Caroline, all the Reynolds family from Roosky, Co Roscommon, and his niece Sinead Allman Grant from Moycullen, who is a garda in Clifden, and her family.

Mr Allman will be reposing tomorrow (Friday ) at O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour from 6pm. Removal will take place at 8pm to St Mary’s Church, The Claddagh. Mr Allman will be buried in Moycullen after 11am Mass on Saturday.

Ar dheis De go raibh a anam.
