Ronan Rooney, managing director of Rooneys (Galway ), has confirmed that the company has completed a new 15 year lease with Caffé Nero, one of the strongest international coffee house brands. Caffe Nero has more than 800 coffee houses throughout Europe and will bring a refreshing new brand to Galway.
Acting on behalf of the landlord in an off-market deal, the deal for No 30 Eyre Square was secured in March of this year with the handover just after the June Bank Holiday weekend.
Commenting on the deal Ronan Rooney said: “Having sold the property to the client we were delighted to secure such a strong tenancy for the client. It was all the more satisfying when this was accomplished off-market and confidentially. This was of utmost importance to the client and their existing tenant. The strength of this covenant guaranteed by the parent company Nero Holdings was such that it really had to be enacted upon. We have succeeded in securing an excellent tenancy, adding tremendous value to the property, and all completed without publicity. We have been instrumental in bringing of the one of the leading coffee houses in Europe to Galway.
"Galway continues to be high on the wish list for an extensive number of international retailers and café/restaurants," he added. "We have strong connections to a number of prestigious operators keen to establish themselves in Galway."
