The Cure's Lol Tolhurst to read at the Róisín

Band's co-founder is Galway bound in July

LOL TOLHURST, a founder member of The Cure with Robert Smith, and a former member of the legendary goth-pop band, is coming to Galway to read from his acclaimed autobiography, Cured - The Tale Of Two Imaginary Boys.

Lol will read from Cured on Sunday July 16, where he will also sign copies of the book and take part in a Q&A with the audience. This will be followed by a show from Cure tribute band Fire In Ciaro.

Tolhurst is a musician, writer, and performer. As The Cure’s drummer, and later keyboardist, Lol toured the globe many times over and was aq key part of the Cure albums Three Imaginary Boys, Seventeen Seconds, Faith, Pornography, The Top, The Head On The Door, and Disintegration. He left the band in 1989 but played shows with the band in 2011. In the early nineties, Lol relocated to Southern California where he continues to write, record, and tour with his own band, Levinhurst.

Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG Zhivago, Shop Street, and The Róisín Dubh.
