A larger and more spectacular SeaFest will take place in 2017, as the festival expands to include three days of activities and attractions to celebrate the sea in Galway from 30 June to 2 July 2017.
This year, The Western Development Commission is on board for SeaFest 2017, and will showcase unique and creative businesses from the West of Ireland that are inspired by the marine.
Karen Sweeney of the Western Development Commission said, “We are delighted to be part of the SeaFest 2017 experience for what it set to be an exciting, fun and educational weekend. We pride ourselves on promoting the West of Ireland as the place to live, work and do business through our lookwest.ie campaign.

“A sneak peak of our speakers will include Easkey Britton, An Irish Big Wave Surfer from County Donegal with a doctorate in Environment and Society; Ian Mitchinson, photographer and Creative Explorer with a passion for surf and the landscape of the WAW, Ashleigh Smith founder of the Atlantic Equipment Project and much more to follow.
“We are also excited to announce that we are partnering with ‘Shore Shots’, a surf film festival celebrating surfing, film, ideas and discovery in the West Coast of Ireland.
