Galway WFC back in the capital for another test

Last weekend they were overpowered by Shelbourne, losing 5-1, and on Sunday they face current league leaders UCD Waves.

Galway had a number of chances to equalise, both from play and some excellent set piece deliveries, but Shels grabbed the second goal on the stroke of half time when Siobhan Killeen got onto a long ball and lobbed the advancing Hughes.

Galway were rewarded for a dominant opening 15 minutes of the second half when Sinead Taylor scored in her first game since re-signing for Galway.

However the game turned back in Shels' favour when Kate Maloney fire homed in the 66th minute.

Galway continued to battle, but conceded goals in the 76th and 83rd minutes.
