Sheena Dignam of Galway Food Tours has teamed up with the food specialists at McCambridges to launch the Galway Gourmet Picnic. McCambridges is a name that is synonymous with Galway and great food in the west, and the link up with Galway Food Tours on gourmet hampers means that tourists and Galwegians get a chance to eat that picnic hamper that you always intended making, instead of ending up with soggy sandwiches and a bag of crisps.
The picnic baskets offerings include a nod to Irish meat and cheese with a feast for two people, including a selection of Irish meats (McGeogh’s air dried lamb, McCambridges roast ham, Fingals chorizo ) with Irish cheeses (Killeen Goat, Fenugreek, Young Buck Blue Cheese ), bottles of Juicy Lucy waters, and a bottle of red or white wine all for €48.
