The Access Music Project, which provides music support and education to musicians in Galway, is launching a year of celebrations to mark its 10th anniversary.
The celebrations will begin with a special launch on Monday at 10am in St Patrick’s Band Society Hall, Forster Street. The guests of honour will be the Mayor of Galway Cllr Padraig Conneely and the Minister for Community, Rural, and Gaeltacht Affairs Éamon Ó Cuív.
AMP is also planning other events to mark the anniversary and to raise funds vital for its operation. These events include a special 10th end of year concert and graduation for current participants, the launch of a CD containing tracks from AMP participants, the School of Rock for teenagers, AMP’s annual Big Gig in August, and a night at the movies in September.
