With Brunch, now becoming a staple tradition of the Irish Sunday & the summer season fast approaching, Café Temple, a vibrant café located in the Cornstore in the heart of Galway City, have finally decided to start opening on Sundays to offer a great new place for brunch.
Their ethos is to use as much local, organic, ecologically sound and homemade produce as possible and they work with many artisan producers such as Coolfin Organic Bakery, Cais Gabhair Arann, Beechlawn Organic Farm and Herterich Butchers.
One of the bonuses is the prospect of better breakfasts and epic brunch options, and let us make no bones about it, brunch is most definitely the best meal of the week.
On the first Sunday of June they will be launching their Sunday Brunch Menu with a host of options for you to choose from to simply fill your belly or get over that groggy hangover (they even have a juice called ‘The Cure’ ). With a delicious range to choose from such as Eggs Benedict served with Herterich’s smoked bacon and potato rosti, Black pudding, polenta and aran islands feta cheese or their Vegetarian Breakfast served with homemade beetroot sausages there will be something for everybody, including gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options.

Their menu will change from week to week and will include various twists on traditional brunch options from their healthy and fresh acai bowls with homemade granola to French toast with lashings of maple syrup and candied nuts. Not to mention traditional staples like their epic Herterich butchers Full Irish with a host of teas, coffees, fresh cold pressed juices and smoothies to match.
With all these options and their model being that of a Social Business with their profits going towards local charities, what could possibly be a better way to spend your lazy Sunday?
