The Galway city and county programme for Seachtain na Gaeilge 2009 is now available from Conradh na Gaeilge and lists the more than 100 events being organised.
For Galway, Club Árus na nGael in Dominick Street, will act as the festival club. A wide variety of entertainment is planned including music ranging from the finest of traditional music to the world music played by Ben Ó Faoláin and Will Softly in Club O2.
Club events will also see a combination of sean-nós and belly dancing, a night of Breton music, and a number of events geared particularly for Irish language learners. Third level students will also be catered for with specific events for NUIG and GMIT students.
Programmes have been put together for Baile Locha Riach, Béal Átha na Slua, Inis Óirr, and Maigh Cuilinn.
