The Odd Couple...of women

Neil Simon's female version of his classic play currently running in An Taibhdhearc

NEIL SIMON'S much loved flat-share comedy of clashing personalities, The Odd Couple, has rarely been off the world's stages premiering on Broadway in 1965, but its 1985 female version is less well known.

The Female Odd Couple is based on the same story line, with same lead characters, now called Florence Ungar and Olive Madison. The poker game is now Trivial Pursuit, and the Pigeon sisters became the Costazuela brothers, Manolo and Jesus. The setting remains New York.

This female version is currently being staged in An Taibhdhearc, running tonight, tomorrow, and Saturday at 8pm, and performed by KATS (Knocknacarra Amateur Dramatics Society ). It stars Marsha Maly and Michelle Lyons, and is directed by John Keane.

Tickets are available from An Taibhdhearc (091 - 562024 or [email protected]. )
