Galway Ladies have kickstarted their All Ireland campaign having secured this season's Connacht Minor A Championship in Ballyhaunis.
Galway enjoyed a 5-12 to 1-4 victory over Roscommon on Monday, having led at half-time by 2-5 to 1-2.
It was an easy win for Galway in the end after goals from Niamh Daly (Kilconly ) and Regina Naughton set them on the road to victory. Amy O'Donovan 0-2 (1 free ) and a point each for Niamh Daly (St Gabriel's ), Leanne Coen and Niamh Coleman ensured the Galway girls took a solid lead into the second half, and Roscommon had no answer.
Galway Ladies hold a fundraiser night at the dogs on Saturday at Galway Greyhound Stadium.
