Have you ever wanted to dance but do not know where to start? Are you tired of going to weddings or country music events and not being able to dance?
Well worry no more because County Galway native Niall Doorhy is holding a four week waltz and jive course in Corrandulla Community Centre from Sunday May 7 to Sunday May 28, from 6pm to 7.30pm.
If you want to learn how to dance, Niall Doorhy is the man for you.
Doorhy, who is self-taught, has many years’ experience teaching dance and he is renowned for his eight beats count in jive and his ability to make dancing look easy. With more than 25,000 followers to his Facebook page and millions of views on his jive videos Niall Doorhy is one of the most sought after dance teachers across Ireland. His work as a dance teacher has been noted by national media and he has featured on many programmes with RTE, TV3, TG4, and even the BBC.
Niall Doorhy was recently credited by RTE’s Stetsons and Stilettoes for his research work with the producers on the current series, and many of you might remember he also featured on the first series where he was judging the biggest jiving event in the country, The Monaghan Jiving Championships.
In 2015 Niall Doorhy became the first person in Irish history to direct and produce a social dance jive tuition DVD, entitled Let's Jive. The DVD has sold thousands of copies in every county in Ireland and also across mainland Europe, UK, USA, and as far away as Australia to Irish country music enthusiasts living abroad.
“Be prepared for a great night of getting to know people, getting exercise, having a laugh, and wondering why you didn't start this sooner," Niall Doorhy said.
The course costs €40, payable on the first night. For more information visit www.nialldoorhydancer.ie, email [email protected], find Niall Doorhy Dancer on Facebook, or phone 087 3536502.
