O'Donnellan & Joyce auctioneers realised sales of close to €6 million at last Friday's Wild Atlantic Way property auction. Strong interest in the property market continues with Galway city properties dominating the auction and generating enormous interest from eager purchasers.
More than 300 people flooded into the Harbour Hotel to bid on properties in O’Donnellan & Joyce’s auction, which had some 40 properties for sale in Galway city and throughout the western seaboard in counties Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Monaghan, Mayo, Galway, Clare, Limerick, Tipperary, and Westmeath.
Such is the national interest currently in O’Donnellan & Joyce’s auctions that RTÉ has scheduled another season of it popular documentary Find Me a Home. The programme is a nationwide observational documentary series following the trials and tribulations of those trying to buy, rent, or sell a home in the current property market. The team have been filming with O’Donnellan & Joyce clients who are buying and selling properties and giving an insight into the exciting business of the auction process.
Colm O'Donnellan, partner and auctioneer with O’Donnellan & Joyce, said: “There was exceptional interest from owner occupiers with great value for money in the city.”
