Gardai seek information on Tuam raiders

Gardai in Tuam are investigating a break-in at a house in the town last weekend in which a number of tools were stolen.

Last Friday night (April 21 ), the raiders entered a shed at a house on the Upper Dublin Road in the town. They made away with a selection of tools including a Parkside pink and black hammer drill, a small Parkside gun drill, a 4.5” Parkside green and black angle grinder, and a 9” Makita angle grinder.

Anyone who noticed suspicious activity around the Upper Dublin Road in Tuam on Friday night is asked to contact Tuam Gardai, 093 70840, where Garda Deirdre Mulkeen is investigating the incident.

Meanwhile two days earlier, thieves stole jewellery and cash from a safe in arose in the Ballinasloe area.

Between 2pm and 10.30pm on Wednesday April 19, thieves entered a house in Garbally Desmene, Ballinasloe. The house was entered through a rear window which was forced open by the raiders.

A safe in the house was opened and the jewellery and cash were taken. Items stolen included a gold band engagement ring with an emerald centre and a diamond surround, a white Apple iWatch and a large quantity of cash.
