CONTROVERSIAL MANCHESTER punk band Cabbage are "hell-bent on filling the current vacancy for rock’n’roll commentator on Brexit Britain" according to The Guardian, and they have Galway in their sights.
The band - Lee Broadbent (vocals ), Joe Martin (vocals, guitar ), Eoghan Clifford (guitar ), Stephen Evans (bass ), and Asa Morley (drums ) - have been described as having “the black humour of Buzzcocks, the surrealism of Happy Mondays, the haircuts of various Stone Roses” by i-D, while their debut EP Le Chou, was described by the NME as “five twisted post-punk slinkers stuffed with explicit lyrics and Jack White levels of rage”
Their EP's have been compiled into a new album, Young, Dumb, and Full Of... which is available digitally and is due for release on vinyl.
Cabbage play Strange Brew at the Róísín Dubh on Thursday May 4 at 9pm. Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG Zhivago, Shop Street, and The Róisín Dubh.
