The multi award winning art studio is kicking off a new term of adult, teens and children’s classes the beginning of May in both Lackagh and Oranmore. Its ever popular adult classes will resume with eight week courses in oils, acrylics, drawing, and watercolours both morning and evening throughout the week.
Studio founder Aisling Kearney Burke is also delighted to launch the new schedule of children’s and teens’ classes focusing on bringing new courses to go alongside their regular kids’ classes. “With feedback from our parents and students, we realised that our students are hungry for more technical and specified classes which is why we are excited to offer our very first kids’ Acrylic Painting’ course. This is a completely new experimental class where students will learn the basic techniques to create and paint acrylic paintings on canvas.”
Aisling herself learnt the intricacies of oil painting at the tender age of 11 and believes that teaching a child at a young age can only help their artistic development. Beechmount Art Studio is also offering a drawing and illustration course for children aged nine to 15 years, while its new ‘My Project’ course will run mid week and will offer students a broader range of art disciplines.
Beechmount Art Studio promises relaxed and informal classes with step by step instruction, where the instructor’s focus is bringing out your own individual creativity. With over 14 classes a week in many different mediums, there is a class to suit everyone.
