Talos - debut album and Róisín Dubh show

Debut album Wild Alee to be released tomorrow on download and limited vinyl

FOLLOWING THE release of his new single 'Contra', Irish indie-electro sensation Talos is about to release his debut album Wild Alee, after which he comes to Galway to play Strange Brew at the Róisín Dubh.

Wild Alee is released tomorrow, via Feel Good Lost, on limited LP and digital formats. As well as featuring 'Contra', it's 13 tracks also include previous singles, ‘Your Love Is An Island’ and ‘In Time’ on vinyl for the first time. The record was produced by Talos and Ross Dowling.

However, what is an Alee? "An alee is the side of a ship that is sheltered from the wind," says Talos - aka Corkonian Eoin French. "I fell in love with the word. With the album, for the last year of it anyway, I pretty much existed as a nomad. I travelled a lot and never really had a completely set stable home. I think in a way this helped. This idea of physical instability, movement and restlessness influenced the end result greatly.”

Speaking about his latest single 'Contra', Talos said it was, "about the idea of protecting something very fragile in the midst of a crisis, when the walls are falling down around you.”

The artwork of Wild Alee is a collaboration between Talos and the Iceland-based photographer, Benjamin Hardiman. The LP features a full colour hi-gloss cover, inner and 12”x12” insert, and comes with a download code.
