Monivea kickboxer Brendan Kenny has claimed gold medals at the Dutch Open in Amsterdam.
Kenny, who fights out of Dublin's Red Star club, competed in both his usual 79kg division, and also the heavier 84k division.With strong movement and timing, Kenny came out on top in both divisions. A super achievement, the victories will serve as the first hurdle in achieving a place on the national team for this year's Wako championships.
Kenny, who teaches kickboxing in Monivea, is now in training for the upcoming senior national championships.
