Comic to give Galway sneak preview of new material ahead of upcoming tour

PHILL JUPITUS, the stand-up comedian, poet, improviser, and TV stalwart, will give Galway a sneak preview of his new material, ahead of his upcoming tour, with a special show at the Róisín Dubh Comedy Clubh presents.

Phil will bring his 'Work In Progress' show to the Clubh tomorrow from 8pm. The comic began his career performing humourous poetry as part of the emerging alternative comedy scene in the 1980s, but came to wider attention as a team captain on BBC2’s pop quiz Never Mind The Buzzcocks in 1996, which went on to run for 19 years.

He has been a regular guest on QI (BBC2 ), appeared on Live at the Apollo (BBC1 ), and has presented numerous radio documentaries including, Phill Jupitus’ Comic Strips, Calvin and Hobbes, and The Man Who Bought Hendrix’s Stage. He has also starred in productions of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, A Midsummer’s Night Dream, and The Producers.
