Noises Off starts in An Taibhdhearc tonight

Michael Frayn’s comic classic play to be staged by The Seamus O’Kelly Players

A BEDRAGGLED road company is flailing through the dress rehearsal for Nothing On, a silly sex romp scheduled to open that night in the backwater hamlet of Weston-super-Mare.

However the real face will not be so much in the show, as between the actors themselves, with lust, jealousy, murderous rage and heartbreak all set to explode. This is Noises Off, Michael Frayn’s comic classic play, will be brought to the stage of An Taibhdhearc by The Seamus O’Kelly Players, tonight, tomorrow, and this Saturday at 8pm.

Expect illicit lovers, gullible fools and diverse scoundrels creeping around a supposedly empty country house, as they carry on with guilty errands, and enter and exit through a battery of doors and one big window. Directed by Christina McKeogh, the cast is Sarah Fahy, John Dillon, John Lawlor, Nuala McCarthy, Yvonne Earls, Noel Donoghue, Sarah Carson, Mike Vaughan, Robbie Gallagher.

Tickets are €15 from An Taibhdhearc (091 - 563600, [email protected] ).
