Students in the GMIT College of Tourism and Arts will host a very special culinary dining experience on Monday next, March 27, in aid of the RNLI Galway Lifeboat, the charity that saves lives at sea.
The event is open to the public and bookings are now being taken at [email protected], with tickets priced at €30.
The event kicks off at 5pm when guests will be welcomed to a canapé and drinks reception in the City of Galway Training Restaurant, followed by a six-course seasonal tasting menu with accompanying wines.
On the menu are: Squid, mushroom, dashi; Aran Island dillisk goats cheese and red onion tartlet; pan fried ling with salsa verde; slow braised beef cheek Bourguignon; rhubarb and ginger crumble with carrageen ice-cream; and tea/coffee and petit fours.
GMIT’s College of Tourism & Arts regularly holds fundraising events such as these for the Lifeboat and other Galway based charities. Lecturer, event organiser, and Lifeboat volunteer Diarmuid Ó Conghaile said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to host another special event here in GMIT in aid of the RNLI Galway Lifeboat Station and continue our long standing relationship with this invaluable local volunteer organisation.”
