The Galway Roscommon Training Education Board (GRETB ) Training Centre and Castle Ceilings Ltd, in partnership with the CIF, are getting people back to work via a City & Guilds Level 2 diploma in interior systems – construction. The official launch of this programme will take place tomorrow, Friday March 10, at 1.30pm in the Castle Ceilings Training Academy in Ballybrit. It will be launched by Tom Parlon of the CIF and many of construction's biggest companies will be in attendance on the day.
On successful completion of the traineeship programme trainees are qualified to work within the trade. There are 17 trainees on the current programme who are now out on various sites and being trained by the professionals in the trade.
Castle Ceilings is an Irish owned company with 17 years’ experience, making it one of the leading interior specialists in the country. It carries out projects nationwide, offering an extensive range of products and systems specialising in the supply and installation of stud partitions, suspended ceilings, and fit-out contracts.
The GRETB offers a wide variety of training programmes for people who wish to enter, re-enter, or progress within the jobs market and places a strong emphasis on developing skills that are easily transferred to the workplace. Many of its courses lead directly to employment.
