Skillnets to commence IMI Diploma in Strategy and Innovation programme in Galway

Skillnets will be running an IMI Diploma in Strategy & Innovation in Galway starting on Monday March 27. Aimed at private sector SME managers, this is a high-quality programme which combines expert provision and world-class content with the practical needs of a local business.

For the seventh consecutive year IMI remains the only Irish business school to be globally ranked as a world class provider of uniquely tailored executive education programmes in the Financial Times (FT ) Executive Education Rankings. While the vast majority of IMI programmes are run directly out of its campus in Dublin, Skillnets through its subsidised ManagementWorks brand, has successfully partnered with IMI in making programmes available to local businesses in Galway and surrounding counties.

According to Carl Blake, Executive Director of Skillnets: “All SME’s operate in a very challenging environment, and the key success factor for business which has been proven time and again is the quality of management and leadership. This requires an investment in skills, and many companies struggle with this”.

When looking to invest in training, Carl believes three key issues for any business to consider are quality, cost and access. “This Diploma brings world-class experts directly to Galway at a subsidised and affordable rate. It not only provides a recognised qualification, it is also a highly practical and flexible programme designed to suit the needs of small business, and allow for immediate changes to be made in the workplace”.
