The Galway Plaza Celebrates First Anniversary with A Family Funday

The Galway Plaza in Kiltullagh will celebrate its first birthday this Sunday, 12th March from 12-5pm with a Family Fun Day. The grounds of The Galway Plaza, located at Junction 16 on the M6 Motorway, will be filled with fun things to do for all ages with and young kids in particular will be treated to a day of top class entertainment including face painting, balloon modelling, stilt walkers and prizes in the Plaza itself. The Galway Plaza has become well known for great events following on from last year’s Biker Fest, The Supercar Show, The Cannonball Run and the Snow Globe event at Christmas. All these events were a huge success and the birthday celebration aims to be the most entertaining event yet.

Mr Tayto will make an exclusive guest appearance as will Fair City’s Ryan Andrews and they will be joined by members of the Galway football and hurling teams as well as players from the ladies’ football and camogie teams. Galway Bay FM’s Ollie and Molly will be the MC’s for the day which promises to be a fun event for all the family and it will be broadcast live on Galway Bay FM.

“We are delighted with the first year of business here in The Galway Plaza,” Pat McDonagh, Managing Director of Supermac’s said. “It’s hard to believe that The Galway Plaza is only 1 year old as it has become a landmark for any journey to and from the west. As with all our stores and service stations throughout the country, we strive to be strong members of the local community and we welcome the local schools, businesses and sports clubs in particular to attend our celebrations on Sunday,” Mr McDonagh said.

The Galway Plaza is located at Junction 16 on the M6 and provides vital services for motorists as well as a food court which includes Supermac’s, Mac’s Place Gourmet Delicatessen, Papa John’s Pizza, SuperSubs and a Bewley’s Barista. The Plaza is open 24 hours.
